Most books fall into one of three categories. Some leave no lasting impression at all. You know you read them, but you remember next to nothing about the plot or characters, and ultimately they were just sinkholes for your time. Some books are perfectly enjoyable but fall short of packing any real emotional punch. They come and go, nothing lost and nothing gained.
