Solace In Sound
It’s too noisy in my head for lyrics right now,
So instead I take solace in sound,
In bird-whistle flutes and cascading strings
That pluck me out of this time and place
And whisk me away to wolf-roamed woods veiled in moonlight,
Or plunge me deep into selkie-swum waters,
Where modern worries cannot penetrate,
And my only job is to be.
